We didn’t get to celebrate our state leaders with the traditional flag ceremony in Boston this year. So we are taking that tradition virtual for 2020 during the Belong Event. We need all state presidents to record a short clip (5 seconds or less) that will kick off the Belong Event on November 17.
All presidents have received emails from Emily Cabbage and Brendan Bernat reminding them to submit their recordings. Some states have their own unique traditions around the flag ceremony and if your current president are not the person who will be representing your state this year, not a problem. Please let us know who should receive this email to represent your state.
The process is simple using an app called Cinebody. You can do this from your phone or from your computer, which ever is easiest for you. All you need to say is “My name is ……. President of NAIFA-……”
We want you to have fun with this…that could mean that you shoot your video in front of something iconic in your state. Or maybe you say “Go Hawkeyes!” or “NAIFA-Missouri, The Show Me State.” As long as you keep it to 5 seconds. Within the Cinebody app, you are able to go back and re-record as many times as you’d like before you submit your video to NAIFA.
The deadline to submit your video clip is November 6. If we do not receive a video from your state by November 6, the Board of Trustee member who serves your state will fill your video for you.
Shout Out to States that Have Already Submitted!
Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine and West Virginia
If you need the Cinebody information resent to your leader, please contact Emily Cabbage (ecabbage@naifa.org) or Brendan Bernat (bbernat@naifa.org)
Thank you for helping us take a new twist on an old tradition!
