When students lose a parent or guardian without adequate life insurance, the financial impact can put their education at risk. The Life Lessons Scholarship Program, created by Life Happens, a NAIFA Community, helps ease that burden—awarding over $4 million to more than 1,000 students since 2005.

Now, NAIFA Chapters can play a direct role through Chapter sponsorship. A special shout-out to North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin for supporting this cause!

To strengthen NAIFA's governance structure, on May 17, 2026, the NAIFA Board of Trustees adopted amendments to the NAIFA Bylaws. The amendments include term limits for NAIFA Board and Governance Committee positions and a one-year extension of the Board appointments for FSP and Life Happens.
