New to the Chapter Playbook this week - an updated awards page! The updated page outlines why awards matter, National-level awards and our new deep-dive training on utilizing NAIFA's new universal application cycle.

Life Happens has created and coordinated the Disability Insurance Awareness Month (DIAM) campaign, as disability insurance is arguably the most misunderstood of all major insurances. However, it doesn't have to be. Now is the time to come together to do something about the enormous gap that exists between Americans' need for disability insurance and the actual coverage they have.

Join Connecticut, Greater Washington D.C., Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, Rhode Island and Utah as NAIFA Certified Leadership Boards! 

The NAIFA Certified Leadership Board designation is awarded to NAIFA Chapters upon completion of a live presentation of NAIFA’s 90-minute training program entitled “Empowering Chapter Leaders” by the President, President-Elect, and at least 80% of the Chapter’s Board. Our next training is on May 29 @ 3 p.m. Eastern! 

If you have not yet signed up for the Q2 State of NAIFA webinar, taking place tomorrow at 12 pm Eastern, it's not too late. The State of NAIFA provides and overview of what's going on at NAIFA and where we are headed as an association. It provides important information every NAIFA leader should have. The State of NAIFA is open to all interested parties, and we strongly encourage NAIFA members to register as well.

NAIFA-Houston was recently spotted for their 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament on April 17th. Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of members, guests, and sponsors, the event was a great success and contributed to the continued growth of NAIFA-Houston

We’re pleased to share that NAIFA’s newly redesigned homepage is now live at belong.naifa.org. This update is the first step in a broader effort to strengthen how we communicate NAIFA’s value proposition. The new design offers a clearer, more compelling homepage narrative that showcases our leadership in advocacy, professional education and financial literacy—helping members and prospective members quickly grasp who we are and why NAIFA matters. Note the navigation has not changed, so the user experience remains the same throughout the entire site.

This homepage refresh is part of a phased redesign initiative being rolled out this year by our communications, membership and IT teams. As we continue improving the site experience and focus efforts on content aimed at leaders, we will seek your input on those pages as well as the potential need to refresh or redesign the chapter sites that are managed by NAIFA. More to come on that in the months ahead.

NAIFA’s grassroots advocacy has taken on a renewed urgency with Congress determining what will and will not be in an upcoming multi-trillion-dollar tax bill. Small businesses – including those owned by NAIFA members and their clients – could be at risk. Members of Congress need to hear how proposals would impact NAIFA members’ businesses, clients, and communities. Register for the Congressional Conference.
