David O'Malley is the President and Chief executive officer of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was appointed chief executive officer in 2022 and president in 2016. He also serves on Penn Mutual affiliated company boards, including Janney Montgomery Scott; Hornor, Townsend & Kent (HTK); Penn Mutual Asset Management and Penn Series Funds.
O’Malley began his career at Penn Mutual in 1994 as an intern in the company’s investment department. He became a member of Penn Mutual’s executive leadership in 2006 and has held the roles of chief risk officer, chief financial officer, and, most recently, president and chief operating officer.
