August means that Congress is out of session and Senators and Representatives return home for in-district working sessions. It also means that NAIFA members are participating in In-District meetings as a critical part of NAIFA's grassroots strategy. NAIFA announced the kickoff of the meetings earlier this week with a press release.

Many state chapters have made participation pledges. If your state has not yet made a pledge and you are the State Grassroots Chair, it's not too late.

Finally, NAIFA's Government Relations team has put together a collection of printed resources to help participants make the most of their meetings with lawmakers.

It's not too late to encourage NAIFA members to sign up (or to sign up yourself). A list of members who have already signed up is on our website. Nonmembers may also participate by sending an email to NAIFA Grassroots Manager Andrew Holt at advocacy@naifa.org.
