Virtual sessions on association leadership and management topics to run from 2-5 PM Eastern each day.

NAIFA Leadership Week, October 19-23, will offer virtual training sessions for NAIFA’s state-chapter volunteer leadership. Each day of the program will provide guidance on a different aspect of association leadership. Monday will focus on governance, Tuesday on advocacy, Wednesday on communications, Thursday on membership recruitment and retention, and Friday on programs.

Leaders from NAIFA’s 53 state and territorial chapters and 30 local chapters are encouraged to participate.

Keynote speaker Bob Harris, CAE, CEO of The NonProfit Center and an expert with more than 30 years of experience in association management and training boards all over the globe, will deliver remarks on building a strong and successful association board of trustees.

“NAIFA is fortunate to have hard-working and dedicated volunteer leaders who are committed to serving their fellow insurance and financial advisors and lifting our association to new heights,” said NAIFA CEO Kevin Mayeux, CAE. “We are happy to host this event and give them the inspiration, tools and resources they need for us to succeed as one NAIFA.”

Mayeux and NAIFA President Cammie Scott, MSIE, ChHC, CLTC, LUCF, REBC, RHU, SHRM-SCP, President of CK Harp & Associates in Springdale, AR, will welcome attendees with opening remarks, and President-Elect Tom Michel, LACP, Managing Director, Michel Financial Group (Ohio National), Los Angeles, CA, will deliver NAIFA’s membership charge. NAIFA Past-President Jill Judd, LUTCF, FSS, Agent/Owner, State Farm Insurance Companies, Capitola, CA, will speak on association unity in her “The One NAIFA Vision” presentation.

Breakout sessions during the event will provide orientation for new chapter board members and offer insights into strategic planning, communications, chapter leadership succession planning and financial and compliance issues.

“Training events like this help our leaders make the most of their time in service to the association,” said NAIFA President Scott. “On behalf of NAIFA I want to thank every one of them for their participation and for giving their time and talent to help their fellow NAIFA members succeed.”
