A Last Look at Leadership in 2020

By Justi Folladori on 12/22/20 10:15 AM

2020 was a year that no one expected. As 2020 comes to a close, it's a good time for leaders to look at lessons worth hanging on to. Mark Athitakis, a contributing editor for Associations Now, outlines four leadership lessons that came out of 2020 that he hopes leaders will hang on to in the years to come.

  1. Agility is more a part of associations’ DNA than we thought.
  2. Oh, and about “normal.” Stop fixating on it.
  3. You can do governance well in a crisis.
  4. There’s a lot of DEI work still to be done.

Do you have any leadership lessons you have learned during 2020? Feel free to share!
