Summer is no time for us to take our foot off the pedal when it comes to NAIFA advocacy efforts. Last year, NAIFA members held more than 135 meetings with members of Congress and their staff in their home districts during the annual summer Congressional recess. 

During August and part of September, Congress has scheduled the In-District Work Period that gives us a great opportunity to meet with our legislators away from the bustle of Washington, D.C., and continue building our relationships with them and their staffs, closing gaps as well as building bench strength.
This year, we are making a push for the LARGEST in-district meeting effort to date. We encourage all NAIFA leaders to:

• Participate in meetings in your state and home district.
• Encourage other NAIFA members in your state to join you. 
• Take along a candidate for NAIFA membership so that they can see what an amazing organization we are firsthand!
