The Brand Ambassador Team (BAT) was started in 2020 under the leadership of (now) Immediate Past President Cammie Scott. Bryon Holz, Secretary, was then the inaugural Chair of the committee that focused on finding new ways to amplify NAIFA's brand and get-the-word out on our new programs and products introduced after the vote to restructure NAIFA as part of the Quality Member Experience (QME) movement.
The inaugural BAT team included a mix of NAIFA leaders--from brand new to the industry to Trustees, the BAT team took up the call to bring more awareness to the new NAIFA and start to work to pull what we now know as NAIFA Nation truly together.
Fast forward to 2021 and now, Toni Gonzales, NAIFA-AZ (loyal member since 2017), of great NAIFA supporter, Ohio National, is our Chair. We've recently made an announcement on the Membership Chairs call that the BAT team is expanding and joining forces to expand the Membership Team with its added power!
In addition to working to being a great brand ambassador for NAIFA overall, the BAT team is looking for individuals that are passionate about a particular NAIFA program, product, or initiative, as well as their company. Let's take Toni, for example, who is passionate about NAIFA, Ohio National, and WIFS. Wouldn't it make sense that when a new member joins from Ohio National that Toni would drop a quick note to reach out to say, "Hi! I'm with Ohio National, too!"? What if a member shows interest in LILI? Wouldn't it make sense for Brad Tapscott, or Karen Easterling, or Win Havir to reach out and say, "Hey! I'm a proud LILI grad and I want you to be one, too!".
Of course, it would because we are a national network of committed and passionate professionals that love what we do.
This is the essence of the BATs--in other words, we are looking for brand ambassadors that want to be social influencers to love what they love about the industry and NAIFA. Do you love the industry and think more college students should consider financial services as a career? We have a spot on the BATs for you. Love your LACP? Same. Love advocacy? IFAPAC? YAT? Speaking directly to consumers on financial literacy?
Whether it's a program, or you absolutely bleed true for your organization, we welcome you in as a BAT so that you can be the person that welcomes new and loyal members, is called on when a member of the media asks for a testimonial, is on the sell sheet for the program, is asked to star in the video, and more.
