Influential grassroots advocacy relies on repeated contacts with lawmakers, and NAIFA does it better than anyone. We have great momentum after our May Congressional Conference, so we are eager to keep it going through the summer.
Our goal is for NAIFA members to schedule more than 300 meetings with lawmakers in their home districts during the August recess. We need NAIFA leaders to encourage members in their chapters to take advantage of this grassroots advocacy opportunity. NAIFA President Lawrence Holzberg, Past President Tom Michel, and Grassroots Chair Mike Peters put together a short video explaining why in-district meetings with lawmakers are important, as well as how they differ from and offer some advantages over more formal meetings in Washington, D.C.
