Our Future Leaders program has had hundreds of students come through since launching in 2021. Our next course starts in April. Awards applications are starting to roll in for 2024. Don't miss your opportunity to shine! We are pleased to announce a new category for the NAIFA Quality Award. We have launched an Emeritus category for members who are at least 60 years old and who have previously qualified for NQA for a minimum of 15 years.

NAIFA's awards provide an opportunity for our members to differentiate themselves from the crowd and receive national recognition for their contributions. All awards are found in NAIFA's Talent Development Center.

There's one and only one secret to sales---consistent, ruthless activity. We all know it, heck--that's how we built our businesses, but somehow, when it comes to growing membership at NAIFA, we find ourselves freezing, not knowing the value proposition, being hesitant to put ourselves out there to ask others to join even though we clearly see and have experienced the value. I get it--believe me, I totally get it. If I had a dollar for every person that told me I should be in sales, I would be a millionaire, but the issue I always had was for me to sell a product, I had to really believe in it. The problem with me is that I have a hard time in believing in most products, but I am a diehard in believing in concepts or philosophical truths. 

I grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. in Maryland, an original colony state. When you grow up in an original colony state, history is just embedded into your education. You are taught the Paul Revere story by first grade and know the entire American Revolution, minutemen, and writing of the Declaration of Independence before you ever leave elementary school. You understand states rights and the power of states coming together--and moreover, the force that we can be as a democracy when we come together to fight. 

NAIFA's got an all-new promotion to see which State Chapter will come out as the 2024 IFAPAC Madness Champion! Round One started on Tuesday, March 5th and will run through Sunday, March 24th. All 51 chapters will be competing to advance through the brackets. The winner will be announced on May 20, 2024, during Congressional Conference! The 2024 Champion Chapter will receive a trophy that can tour around the chapter all year.   

Much like the NCAA March Madness Brackets, IFAPAC has created its bracketology based on 2023 fundraising totals. Chapters will go head-to-head during each round to see who raises the most during the allotted time. The chapter with the highest total will move on to the next round.

The merger of NAIFA and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP) presents our association new ways to serve our members more efficiently and – most importantly – more effectively. We are working diligently to integrate our memberships and ensure that all members continue to receive benefits that they value. Part of that process is determining how local chapters around the country help NAIFA best serve those members and achieve its strategic goals.

As we roll into March and toward the second quarter, we are still in need of some volunteers to help drive the membership train.  Membership chairs help sign up new members, renew those that have lapsed, and are key to welcoming new members into the chapter.  If you are a leader in one of the States below, please let us know if you need help finding a membership chair as we don’t have one on file:

NAIFA-North Dakota was recently spotted for an upcoming NAIFA Live Watch Party! Join fellow members for the next NAIFA Live featuring James S. Aussem, JD, AEP. In this dynamic session, attendees will explore the many facets of financial services exit planning in today’s environment.

These Watch Parties will be held at E4 Insurance Services in Fargo, and Minot State University - MSU Student Center 2nd Floor!

As NAIFA leaders, you have the experience and influence to make a difference  when you encourage newer members' involvement with our association. No where is this more true than on the grassroot advocacy front. As a NAIFA veteran, you can increase the involvement of newer members by inviting them to participate in your state's legislative day and the national Congressional Conference, coming to Washington, D.C., May 20-21.
