The Act has been in the works for five years but gained renewed attention during the recent State of the Union address when President Biden called on Congress to pass the legislation.

Secure 2.0 Has Passed: What the Law Means for You & Your Clients

This week registration opened for the 2023 Congressional Conference to be held on May 22-23 in Washington, D.C. NAIFA is pleased to once again offer 300 travel stipends in the amount of $350 each. Half of the stipends have been claimed after just 2 days! Ensure that your state is represented as we head to Capitol Hill to advocate for our industry, our businesses, and our clients.
NAIFA members who complete all three sections of NAIFA's Grassroots Training series are Financial Security Advocates and are eligible to display NAIFA's FSA badge. The courses familiarize NAIFA members with the political process, help them improve their grassroots advocacy skills, and provide information on advanced advocacy topics, including information for members who might consider running for office, themselves.
So far, 31 NAIFA state chapters have pledged to promote in-district legislative meetings among their members and set goals for member meetings. The goals are based on meeting with a percentage of their state's Representatives and Senators during Congress's annual August recess.
Influential grassroots advocacy relies on repeated contacts with lawmakers, and NAIFA does it better than anyone. We have great momentum after our May Congressional Conference, so we are eager to keep it going through the summer.
No one does grassroots advocacy like NAIFA. We have the most passionate and politically involved members in our industry. We had over 500 advisors at our Congressional Conference in May. Now, we have another great opportunity to influence policy with Congress’s upcoming August recess.
