NAIFA is proud to announce that Advisorist has joined NAIFA in supporting the Talent Development Center to raise awareness of their respective brands and promote membership and participation in their respective organizations.

Led by CEO Jeremiah Desmarais, Advisorist is a group dedicated to helping insurance and financial advisors generate qualified leads and appointments to help their businesses grow. Under the partnership, Advisorist will feature six NAIFA members in their live weekly Virtual Advisor Power Hour (VAPH) workshops in 2023. NAIFA will promote the VAPH and Advisorist through social media and marketing efforts. 

NAIFA marketing partner InsurTech Express recently launched their new IE Bookshelf to help promote and highlight books written by insurance and financial services professionals.

Current books by NAIFA members in the IE Bookshelf library include How Not to Tear Your Family Apart by NAIFA's Executive Director of the Centers of Excellence, Carroll Golden, The K-Method of Roulette by Ken Leibow, and Diversity Means Dollars by Vince Vitiello.

Earlier this month, NAIFA members were mailed printed copies of the I Love NAIFA Month issue of Advisor Today magazine. The issue features a cover story on 2023 NAIFA President Bryon Holz, an advocacy report, updates from NAIFA's Centers of Excellence, and photos from the National Leadership Conference and Belong event.

We are thrilled with how many Financial Security Advocate (FSA) badges that we have issued since we launched the program nearly two years ago. We are even more thrilled to announce that we have improved the program by partnering with the Congressional Management Foundation to bring you our own version of their highly successful advocacy training program! 

The new program is called the Financial Security Advocate Academy and will allow NAIFA members to complete the entire program in under two hours! Once you complete the program, you will receive your Financial Security Advocate badge from Credly to post to your social media accounts, as well as we will automatically place it on your profile on our consumer site at www.financialsecurity.org!

What's the best season of the year? NAIFA awards season! We are pleased to announce that applications for NAIFA's 2023 awards are now open. Our awards provide an opportunity for our members to differentiate themselves from the crowd and receive national recognition for their contributions. All awards are found in NAIFA's Talent Development Center.

IFAPAC is pleased to report that the 2022 Election Cycle was yet another instance of PAC dollars well-spent. For the 2022 Elections, we took in over $1.7 million, and disbursed over $1.4 million to federal candidates, with a 94% success rate for supported candidates. Of the 243 candidates supported, the bulk, at 230, were incumbents, four were running in open seats, and nine were challenging sitting members.

The Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act could have a profound impact on NAIFA members and their ability to remain independent and work in their clients' best interests. The Act has been in the works for five years but gained renewed attention during the recent State of the Union address when President Biden called on Congress to pass the legislation.

NAIFA's State of Advocacy report details NAIFA's federal, state, and interstate advocacy efforts in 2022 in facts and figures. It also runs down the major policy issues impacting agents and advisors as well as the Main Street consumers they serve.
