ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership has recognized NAIFA's Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) as an initiative with far-reaching benefits important to NAIFA members' profession and industry. NAIFA is one of 16 winners – from among hundreds of applicants – of the ASAE Gold Power of Association Award. 

NAIFA would like to feature state chapter legislative events and in-district meetings on the Advocacy in Action blog. These events show that NAIFA is a powerful advocacy influence not only in Washington, D.C., but in districts across the country.

NAIFA is encouraging members to meet with their Representatives and Senators in their home districts during the August Congressional recess. In-district meetings are a vital part of NAIFA's year-long grassroots strategy. They build on the momentum created by the Congressional Conference and lay a foundation for the Day on the Hill that is part of NAIFA's National Leadership Conference, November 13-15 this year.

NAIFA members who complete all three sections of NAIFA's Grassroots Training series are Financial Security Advocates and are eligible to display NAIFA's FSA badge. The courses familiarize NAIFA members with the political process, help them improve their grassroots advocacy skills, and provide information on advanced advocacy topics, including information for members who might consider running for office, themselves. 

NAIFA leaders are in the perfect position to identify exceptional NAIFA members suitable for leadership positions or to be considered for NAIFA awards. Many leaders also have the qualifications needed to serve on the national Board of Trustees.

Throughout this election year, IFAPAC contributors have received "Inside Elections," a biweekly newsletter by respected political analyst Nathan Gonzales. As an added bonus, contributors will also receive an exclusive invitation to a pre-election webinar hosted by Gonzales on September 29 (save the date).

For July and August, all NAIFA members receive "Inside Elections" as a thank you for your membership! To continue receiving it beyond August and get an invitation to the September webinar, they must become a contributor.

The NAIFA Enterprise Accountability Report is a quarterly, high-level snapshot of our progress toward the execution of the NAIFA 2025 Strategic Plan. In this report, NAIFA home office staff outlines pertinent updates correlated with the goals in the FY 2022 Business Implementation Plan. The report contains important information NAIFA leaders need to know. It also demonstrates NAIFA's commitment to transparency and open discussion.

So far, 31 NAIFA state chapters have pledged to promote in-district legislative meetings among their members and set goals for member meetings. The goals are based on meeting with a percentage of their state's Representatives and Senators during Congress's annual August recess.

The second 2022 print issue of Advisor Today is now being mailed to all NAIFA members. The issue focuses on education and advocacy, featuring highlights from Congressional Conference and previews of Apex. While only NAIFA members receive a printed issue of the magazine as an exclusive benefit, the issue is also available online.
