As your Chapter prepares for 2023, the Chapter Services Team has worked together with the State Government Relations Team to put together templates for proclamations. Proclamation wording is now available for Life Insurance Awareness Month (September) and Long-Term Care Insurance Awareness Month in the Chapter Playbook!

As we near the end of the year, many Chapter Leaders throughout the country will be transitioning into new leadership positions as of January 1. The Chapter Services Team, along with the Field Leadership Experience (FLEX) Team, have put together a document of monthly, quarterly and yearly commitments associated with each position. Positions include: 

Chapter Staff and Chapter Leaders from across NAIFA Nation met on Thursday, December 1 for the last Chapter Leaders Webinar of 2022. Attendees were able to hear the latest NAIFA updates and announcements! This month's Chapter Leaders Webinar featured:

NAIFA-Indiana was recently spotted partnering with the Central Indiana Society of FSP for an upcoming event! On November 17, NAIFA-Indiana and the Society of FSP will co-sponsor a half day CE event featuring:

• Elder Abuse Overview
• Consumer Protection and Senior Scam Prevention
• Panel on Elder Abuse
• The Impact of Health and Wellness on Life Insurance

The event will take place both in-person and via Zoom.

New to the Chapter Playbook this week, a guide to effective Affiliate programming! The Effective Affiliate Programming Guide answers the below questions:

• What are the Affiliate responsibilities?

2023 Chapter blackout dates have been announced! In an effort to make blackout dates more flexible/less restrictive, in response to your requests, blackout dates around signature events have been reduced to just one week.

We are looking forward to this year's National Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.! As nearly 300 Chapter Staff and Chapter Leaders from across the Nation will join us in D.C. in just two weeks, we are canceling this Thursday's Chapter Leaders Webinar.

NAIFA-West Virginia recently sponsored their first annual PAC dinner on October 19 at the Edgewood Country Club in Charleston! This meeting was a joint event with NAIFA-West Virginia's PAC and the Charleston Chapter of Financial Service Professionals.

Their special guest for the evening was West Virginia's 3rd District Congresswoman Carol Miller. This was an excellent opportunity to share their legislative ideas and concerns, as well as some industry specific issues regarding Financial Protection, Retirement (Secure 2.0), DOL Fiduciary Standard of Care and more.
