NAIFA’s Director of Professional Development, Brendan Bernat, led October’s Chapter Programs Chair Meeting. Brendan kicked off the meeting by giving NAIFA VP of Member and Chapter Services, Corey Mathews, CAE, the floor to speak about NAIFA’s upcoming National Leadership Conference happening December 5-7 in Washington D.C.! Corey spoke briefly about those leadership positions that are invited, as well as an overall concept for the meeting.

Join motivational speaker, Austin Hatch, Thursday, September 9 at 2 p.m. Eastern, who will explain the components of his G.R.I.T. Framework and how we can use G.R.I.T. to help us achieve any goal we set. He will discuss the importance of having a greater purpose for why we do what we do as our driving force. You will also learn why G.R.I.T. is about consistency and the role of the "growth mindset" as the first component of this system.

It was brought to our attention that there was an error in the September Calendar of Events that was posted earlier this morning. The September Chapter Leaders Webinar will take place tomorrow, September 2 at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. If you need your Zoom login information, please do not hesitate to reach out to leadership@naifa.org. An updated calendar of events for September will be forthcoming. 

From now until Labor Day, all Friday Chapter Services meetings/webinars will be moved to Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Eastern. Note that the Chapter Programs Chair Meeting will remain on the second Thursday at 3 p.m. Eastern. A complete schedule of all meetings/webinars is listed below.

Last week, members of the Professional Development Department hosted the first meeting devoted to Chapter Programs Chairs! As part of the 2021 Business Implementation Plan, these new monthly calls are being developed to identify collaboration opportunities and to maximize the effectiveness of programs for our members.

NAIFA CEO, Kevin Mayeux, CAE, kicked off the May Chapter Leaders Webinar with a Congressional Conference update. Currently, there are more than 600 individuals registered, which includes both members and nonmembers!
