NAIFA-Pennsylvania was recently spotted recognizing new members on LinkedIn! 

The Chapter Excellence Award was launched earlier this year to recognize the success of those Chapters who have excelled in providing a quality member experience to their members and achieved organizational excellence. 

NAIFA members who sit on the National Board of Trustees are either nominated and approved by the Governance Committee or appointed by the Committee. Members typically rise through the chairs at the local and then state levels before being selected to the National Board of Trustees.

Additionally, the Secretary position is one that the Governance Committee selects and will be the future President after moving from Secretary to President-Elect to President.

The Board of Trustees' purpose is to provide oversight of the membership of NAIFA, provide visionary direction to the CEO and interface with volunteer leadership.

The Governance Committee will accept applications for the 2024 NAIFA National Board of Trustees and/or Secretary from July 1, 2023 to August 1, 2023. Please email the completed form to candidate@naifa.org.

NAIFA-Indiana was recently spotted partnering with the Central Indiana Society of FSP for an upcoming event! On November 17, NAIFA-Indiana and the Society of FSP will co-sponsor a half day CE event featuring:

• Elder Abuse Overview
• Consumer Protection and Senior Scam Prevention
• Panel on Elder Abuse
• The Impact of Health and Wellness on Life Insurance

The event will take place both in-person and via Zoom.

NAIFA-West Virginia recently sponsored their first annual PAC dinner on October 19 at the Edgewood Country Club in Charleston! This meeting was a joint event with NAIFA-West Virginia's PAC and the Charleston Chapter of Financial Service Professionals.

Their special guest for the evening was West Virginia's 3rd District Congresswoman Carol Miller. This was an excellent opportunity to share their legislative ideas and concerns, as well as some industry specific issues regarding Financial Protection, Retirement (Secure 2.0), DOL Fiduciary Standard of Care and more.

On Thursday, September 15 NAIFA-North Dakota will host two NAIFA Live watch parties! Members will watch this month's NAIFA Live, "The Challenge and Opportunity of 2022," featuring Van Mueller, LUTCF, LACP. Attendees in Fargo will gather at E4 Insurance Services, while those closer to Bismarck will gather at Schaff Planning Group.
