Chapter President-Elect
The President-Elect should use their term to prepare for their Presidency. Apart from outlining the goals and expectations for the next administrative year, special duties may involve evaluating current activities, developing a strategic plan or succession plan, or recruiting board candidates. The President-Elect may also preside over board meetings or membership meetings in the absence of the President. Duties include:
- Evaluating current activities—become familiar with the Chapter’s policies, activities and the volunteers who lead those activities. Determine what your Chapter can do better in the future.
- Preparing for leadership by consulting current/past leaders and Chapter Staff.
- Review the leaders section of the NAIFA website to learn what resources are available to you.
- Be sure to read NAIFA’s leadership communications and attend webinars so you are in the know on NAIFA programs and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
- Advise and assist the President in staffing Chapter leadership teams.
- Perform the duties of the President in the absence or disability of the President.
- Review the Chapter's Bylaws to make certain they are up-to-date.
- Review the budget and financial activity to gauge what changes need to be made for your Presidential year.
