CHAPTER PLAYBOOK

Awards

Within the One NAIFA structure, there are several different award programs that can be quickly adopted by Chapters to strengthen both the Chapter and national brand in offering extensions of award programs that have been firmly established and successfully run for years. As your Chapter continues to invest in recruiting and retaining talent, one of the best ways to do this is to provide numerous opportunities for public recognition as a reward for membership!

National Level Awards

Advisor Today's 4 Under 40 Award –Each year, Advisor Today magazine recognizes four financial advisors with Advisor Today’s 4 Under 40 Award, who achieve excellence in their profession by or before the age of 40. Chapters are encouraged to have their own Advisor Today 4 Under 40 Award to recognize individuals who are successful not only in their profession, but are also committed to success in their community, family and team. Chapter specific Advisor Today 4 Under 40 logos can be located in the Marketing Playbook.

Diversity Champion – The Diversity Champion Award recognizes exceptional efforts to promote the full and equal participation of diverse people within the insurance and financial advising profession. NAIFA members in good standing are eligible for this prestigious award. Chapters should consider adding a Diversity Champion Award at the state level as well.

John Newton Russell Award
 – The John Newton Russell Memorial Award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an individual in the life insurance and financial planning industry. The award recognizes a lifetime of professional excellence, service to the industry and a commitment to ethical conduct. At the State Chapter level, Chapters are encouraged to have a Lifetime Achievement or Distinguished Service Award themselves.

NAIFA Quality Awards – The NAIFA Quality Award provides advisors at any career stage the opportunity to demonstrate a commitment to excellence. Advisors specializing in Life & Annuities, Financial Advising & Investments, Health & Employee Benefits, Multiline Sales or any combination of these specialties have the opportunity to demonstrate the quality that is the mark of a true professional. Terry Headley Lifetime Defender Award – The Terry Headley Lifetime Defender Award recognizes a current NAIFA member who shows exemplary service to their profession, colleagues and clients through their political advocacy and contributions to IFAPAC.

YAT Leader of the Year – The YAT Leader of the Year Award recognizes an advisor’s commitment to NAIFA, including service on local, state and national committees and participation in the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI); involvement with state or federal legislative efforts; participation in external service work such as charities and an ability to inspire others. Chapters should consider adding a YAT Leader of the Year Award at the state level as well. Chapter specific YAT logos can be located in the Marketing Playbook
