Affiliate Grassroots Coordinator

The Affiliate Grassroots Coordinator is responsible for getting members involved in the political process and ensuring that relationships are built between members and all area elected officials (state and federal). Duties include:

1. Serving on the State Chapter Grassroots Involvement Committee.
2. Communicating Grassroots information and news to Affiliate members.
3. Involving your Affiliate members in federal legislative issues at the direction of NAIFA’s Government Relations Committee, including encouraging timely responses to NAIFA GovAlerts.
4. Cultivating individual relationships with legislators (state and federal).
5. Inviting members of Congress, state legislators and other elected officials to address the membership at area meetings.
6. Providing opportunities for state and federal candidates to address the membership.
7. Encouraging Affiliate members to participate in the State Chapter's Legislative Day or NAIFA's Congressional Conference.
8. Planning additional opportunities for members to meet with legislators or candidates.
