What Leaders Can Learn from 2020 to Make 2021 a Success

After a year of challenges, Sheri Sesay-Tuffour, Ph.D., CAE, CEO at the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, shares her advice and lessons learned in 2020 for the road ahead. 

First, leaders must redefine what leadership looks like. Below are a few tips Sheri suggests for the road ahead:

  • Pause to take a breath. 
  • Be clear on your “why.” 
  • Assess operations. 
  • Leverage your organization’s strengths. 
  • Balance your leadership style. 
  • Set intentional antiracism goals. 
  • Embrace a growth mindset. 
  • Recognize outstanding employees.
