Earn Your Financial Security Advocate Badge at the June NAIFA Live

Written by NAIFA | 5/31/23 3:39 PM

The June NAIFA Live webinar gives NAIFA members an opportunity to become the best political advocates they can be.

NAIFA members normally earn their Financial Security Advocate badge by completing online modular advocacy training. June's NAIFA Live lets members be a part of something big and join the ranks of Financial Security Advocates in an interactive, group setting on Thursday, June 15, at 2 pm eastern. Earning your FSA badge shows your clients that you are dedicated to working with lawmakers to protect their financial security!

NAIFA Financial Security Advocates are members who show a commitment to NAIFA's advocacy efforts with exceptional training, knowledge, and skills to help make a difference on behalf of their businesses, colleagues, clients, and communities. The course covers everything from the basics of how government works to advanced advocacy and grassroots concepts. A number of FSA badge holders have even gone on to run for political office themselves.

Being a strong advocate for your business and clients is part of being a good NAIFA citizen. Earning your FSA badge is one of three requirements to be a member of NAIFA's Triangle Team.

Led by NAIFA Government & Grassroots Manager, Andrew Holt, VP of Marketing and Communications, Suzanne Carawan, and Senior VP of Government Relations, Diane Boyle, this special NAIFA Live is exclusive to NAIFA members and gives them the opportunity to learn more about the FSA badge together and go through the training as a group. Instead of taking the course programs on their own, this is the perfect chance for those who thrive in a group environment to learn and complete the FSA program!

After attending this NAIFA Live, members will earn their FSA badge, which they may proudly post on social media and use in their marketing.

Benefits of the Badge

Earning your FSA badge is one of the three requirements to become part of NAIFA's Triangle Team. Members of the Triangle Team are LILI alumni (and current students), current-year IFAPAC contributors, and FSA badge holders. This new initiative was rolled out during Congressional Conference to recognize our members who lead by example and show a commitment to membership, grassroots, and IFAPAC.

Financial Security Advocates have the training, knowledge, and skills to fully participate in the political process, exert their grassroots influence, and amplify NAIFA's advocacy message on behalf of their businesses, colleagues, clients, and communities.

Once completed, NAIFA will issue you your Financial Security Advocate badge from Credly that you can put on your social media accounts and will update your consumer-facing profile on FinancialSecurity.org to show your badge. Your name will also be proudly displayed as a Financial Security Advocate to your peers and during our key signature events, such as National Leadership Conference.
