New Member Onboarding Email Series COMING SOON – How Chapters Can Plug In

Written by NAIFA Membership | 6/27/25 8:04 PM

We’re excited to share that NAIFA is getting ready to launch a new 6-part onboarding email series designed to welcome and engage new members. This upcoming national initiative will ensure that every member receives consistent, timely communication that highlights the value of their NAIFA membership and connects them to their Chapter from the start.

Once launched, new members will begin receiving the onboarding series on the Monday or Thursday immediately following their join date, depending on when they joined. This first message will kick off a sequence of emails delivered over the following weeks and months, providing consistent touchpoints to keep members engaged and connected as they settle into their NAIFA membership.

Here’s what the email series covers:

  1. Welcome & Orientation Link to register for orientation.
  2. Power of AdvocacyChapter Advocacy Chairs, Grassroots Chairs and IFAPAC Chairs are CC’d on this email, and the new member is introduced to their Chapter leadership by name.
  3. Professional Development
  4. Differentiate
  5. NAIFA Community
  6. Member Benefits

How your Chapter can plug in:

  • Make It Personal: Consider reaching out with a welcome call between weeks 1–2, after the first email is sent.
  • Respond to Advocacy Introductions: When you're CC’d on the Advocacy email, it’s a great opportunity to reply with a personal welcome or invitation.
  • Promote Local Events: Use the “NAIFA Community” email (week 5) as a springboard to highlight upcoming events or opportunities to get involved.
  • Reinforce the Messaging: Reference themes from the emails in your Chapter outreach. (We’re happy to provide an outline.)
  • Weekly New Member Lists: As a reminder, Chapter Executive Directors, Presidents, Membership Chairs, Grassroots Chairs and IFAPAC Chairs already receive a list of new members every Tuesday – use it to track who’s receiving the emails and when to follow up.

This series is designed to build stronger relationships with our new members – nationally and locally. If you have any questions or ideas on how to coordinate efforts, we’d love to support you.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to NAIFA’s growth and member experience!
