NAIFA’s New State Legislative Tracking Service

NAIFA is excited for state legislative sessions to resume this fall! For the first time, NAIFA has an established State Legislative Tracking Service to help chapters monitor industry-related bills. The tool will also provide NAIFA staff and members with a birds-eye view of the legislative trends that are happening across states.

Each state has its own link to a tracker, and the link can either be embedded into the webpage or used as a separate link.

To access legislative activity in all states, chapter staff can login to the State Advocacy Private Networking Group page, select the Bill Tracker under the Pages tab and browse by state.

The bill tracker is powered by Quorum Analytics, a multinational software technology company. Quorum has many other functions aside from bill tracking, and these tools can be accessed by NAIFA Government Relations staff. Chapter staff who would be interested in exploring some of these other functions are encouraged to contact Julie Harrison.

Other functions include:

  • Know when state legislators are talking about NAIFA, or your issues, no matter what channels they’re using.

  • Keyword search across a database of past documents from state legislators mentioning any term.

  • Set up an unlimited number of email alerts to notify you immediately, daily, or weekly of new mentions that you should be aware of.

  • Identify trends in how state legislators talk about NAIFA’s issues over time.
